Merry Christmas

Latana, Chay and I all wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Chay wanted me to take an up-to-date picture this morning and post in on the blog, so here it is!

Day Care

Latana went back to work on Monday, which meant Chay started day care this week. To reduce the impact of a new environment, we only had him in day care half days Monday and Tuesday. I picked Chay up early from day care both days. The rest of the week, Chay stayed home to celebrate the holidays.

While in day care, Chay has been a big hit with the other kids. We think he enjoys playing with the other kids there because he doesn't seem too interested in coming home when I pick him up.

Baptism

Chay Nicholas was baptized on Sunday, December 21 2008 at Holy Cross in West Fargo, ND. It was a busy weekend getting ready for the baptism. Baptism was conducted during mass. Afterwards, we had approximately 30 people over to our house for a reception. All in all, everything went very well.

2 Month Checkup

Yesterday, Chay had his 2 month checkup. He weighed in at 13.5 pounds and 23.5 inches. He is growing like a weed because he went from the 35 percentile for weight and height to the 75 percentile!

Being it was the 2 month appt, this meant Chay had to receive immunization shots. Of course, he did not like them too much. But being the champ that he is, Chay did not cry for too long. After having some lunch, Chay took a well deserved rest. Due to his shots, Chay took a much longer nap than usual. When he awoke for the first time from his nap, he was a very unhappy camper. But some Tylenol and TLC solved his woes. By evening, he was back to his happy, smiley self!
