Tonight, Chay attended Auntie Lakken's volleyball game. He had a great time in the stands.

Nathan's Birthday

Last weekend, Chay attended Nathan's birthday party. Most of the kids skated at a hockey rink before having cake and ice cream. The latter was Chay's favorite part!

Say Hi

Last night, the three of us went to the grocery store to pick up some needed items for the week. While holding Chay and walking through the store, I would say "hi" every five or ten seconds. After a while, I heard Chay say "hay" and "ho", so I just kept repeating "hi". It took Chay a few tries but he finally repeated "hi" to us. I think he just had to figure out which way to say what he was hearing.

Tyler's Birthday Party

After the Sioux Fan Fest, we went to Tyler's birthday party. The theme this year was "pirates". Here, Chay donned some pirate headgear and posed with his uncle.

Sioux Fan Fest

On Saturday, the Sioux hockey team held a fan fest at the Ralph Englestad Arena. This was important for us to get there so that we could pick up our season tickets! Chay also had a great time there as well as can be seen above.

While we were there, we ran into Chay Genoway, our Chay's namesake. He was gracious enough to spend about 15 minutes talking with us and taking pictures. Both Chay's can be seen above enjoying the festivities!

We even had a chance to see what Chay would look like in a Sioux hockey uniform!

Animal Kingdom

We are convinced that Chay exhibits parts of various animals. We noticed early on that he holds items in his feet like a monkey. And he bats around a ball between his hands like a cat with a ball of yarn. In the bath, he has been known to lap up water like a puppy dog. And lately, he is starting to mimic our sounds like a parrot.

Stairway To Heaven

Chay has been able to climb stairs for a while now. I was finally able to capture some footage of the feat on my cell.

Tooth #8

Chay now has tooth #8. That makes four on the top and four on the bottom!

I was expecting another tooth to come in on the top many weeks ago, but it has been stubborn. Maybe it will appear soon.
