Hi. My name is Jace. Lately, Mommy and Daddy have been teaching me right from wrong. When I go to do something, I look up to one of them, smile, and pause to see if it if OK. Normally, I get told "no no", which to my little ears sounds like "you can do it!" But I am not sure, so I inch forward, put my hands out, look back and smile again. I get the same words of encouragement, so I proceed. I get confused when I get picked up and pulled away because I swear I was given permission. Maybe I will understand better when I turn 13 months old in 5 days. LOL

Can't Catch Up

Jenner sure has been trying to catch up to Jace on the number of teeth each one has. It seems like every time Jenner pops another tooth, so does Jace. Jenner now has 8 front teeth and the other day I found a molar poking through. Jace finally got the 8th tooth in the front of his mouth and instead of 1 molar poking through, I found 3 today! So Jenner now has 9 teeth and Jace has 11!

Comparing Chay to the Twins -1 Yr

I had to look back at Chay's measurements at his 1-year doctor appointment. Chay was 10 ounces heavier than the twins, but about 1/2" shorter. So all in all, our 3 boys are about the same size when they reached 1. When I think that the twins were premature and were each less than 6 pounds at birth, its pretty amazing that they have caught up.

Jace Playing Basketball

Last night, Jace was playing basketball. It was the first time I had seen him do this. He kept putting the ball in the hoop over and over again. Of course, by the time I grabbed my camera to shoot some video of this, he would only do it once and then went on his merry way.

Twins 1yr Checkup

The twins had their 1 year checkup today. Both boys are doing well which is a blessing. They passed their physical exams with flying colors! Both boys are taller at 1 year than Chay at the same age. The twins had to get 3 shots and 1 finger poke, each. So they weren't happy by the end of the appointment. Here are their latest measurements:

Jace :       21 pounds 4 ounces 30 1/4 inches tall
Jenner:     21 pounds 4 ounces 30 1/8 inches tall

This is the first time Jace is officially taller than Jenner. The twins have weighed the same two appointments in a row.

Happy Birthday!

Jace & Jenner turn 1 year old today! Happy Birthday guys! It's been an amazingly-quick year for us. I wonder what the next year will bring.
