Last Saturday, we went to the lake.

Chay got his first shot at driving a boat on the water. 

Yes, he is actually steering the boat. He was sitting with Todd who made sure he didn't go astray. 

Deck at the Lake

I spent all day Friday and a good portion of Sunday at the lake building a deck for my in-laws.

As you can see on the deck, it was raining. It rained both days. On Friday night, we had lightning strike about 100 feet from us. It didn't rain on Saturday, the one day this weekend we did not work on the deck. And as soon as we got finished, it quit raining. So I think it was preordained to rain on us. 

This picture shows the completed deck. All that is missing is the handrails around the deck to keep from falling off. The wood had to be special ordered and was not in yet. 

Todd came down both Friday and Sunday and helped me out. I'm not sure I would have been done with it without his assistance! 

I also found this other picture on my camera from the 4th of July weekend at the lake. One young lady from another campsite was entertaining (from left to right) Jenner, Kaden, Jace, and Chay. 

Chay Hockey Camp Over

Chay's last night of hockey camp was yesterday. Right now, we have no plans on any more sports activities until the fall.

The kids are all home this week. The twin's daycare is on vacation and we kept Chay home from school.
