We still do not have high-speed Internet at our house. It's terribly frustrating. The other two houses active in the neighborhood now have it. In fact, the cable company called one of them and got them set up last Friday. I talked with an engineer of the company and he confirmed that the service is available. An installer came over to our house and verified we had signal so we should be good. He wanted to hook me up that day, but his manager wouldn't let him. His manager verified that their computer system shows that we can get service. So all I need to do is to schedule an appointment, which I did.
We were finally going to get Internet! Silly me for actually going to bed that night believing this.
Today I got a call from the cable company. They told me that there was no service in my area, which I know is not true!

Spring Soccer is Over
The Spring soccer season is over. It will be good to have a break. The twins never set foot on the field and are both adamant that they won't be playing in the Fall either. Here is a picture of Chay's team after the last game.
These kids all attended Kindergarten this past school year. But they were "promoted" to playing at the 1st grade level. We found out that this meant they played against other 1st graders signed up for recreational soccer, but they also played against 9-and-under kids signed up for competitive soccer. So Chay's team did play against 2nd and 3rd graders as well. All in all, they played very well considering the kids they often faced were bigger and faster. At times, it seemed they were overmatched, but they posted a 5-2-1 record. All in all, it was a pretty good season.
