Monkey Jace

Jace is really stretching his climbing skills these days. He has taken a keen interest in pushing around one of the dining room chairs to get to something he should not have. This weekend, Latana caught him standing on one of the counters. He pushed the chair over to the counter and climb up to get something out of one of the top cupboards. Our house is mostly baby-proof, but not Jace-proof apparently.

On Saturday morning, Latana was sick and was sleeping downstairs so as to not wake the rest of us. That morning, Jace was the first to get up. Instead of saying something and me hearing it on the baby monitor, I was greeted bedside by Jace. He managed to climb out of his crib and came in the bedroom to wake me up!

On Sunday, Jace was being naughty. So I put him in his crib for a timeout. I went back to the kitchen to do some more work while Jace did his time in the slammer. A minute later I hear Latana say to Jace, "Daddy's not going to be happy you are out of your crib when he put you there for timeout". The stinker made a jailbreak, which does not surprise me. But what happened next was a surprise. I knew Jace could get out of his crib on his own but as I rounded the corner to his bedroom, I saw Jace diving back into his crib head first! He wasn't too happy with me that I left him in the crib and shut the bedroom door on him.

You know, I can't help but love Jace! He's, apparently, one of a kind. :)
